I was told my the ranger that catching this on camera is a rarity that I will likely not see again. This guy is trying to pick up something on the ground in front of him. Bu apparently, giraffes almost never reach to the ground to get anything, because of the vulnerable position it puts them in. They can't see anything around them and can't recover quickly to avoid predators. Normally they keep head high and look for miles to keep an eye out for killers. So yay me.
