Weekend Getaway to...The Hamptons?

So my friend Emily works with this guy named Dave. Cool guy, we've all hung out a few times, but we dont see him often because he lives in Oceanside, a nice town about 40 minutes north of San Diego. So this past Sunday, Emily tells me she's going to "The Hamptons" for the day and tells me I should definitely come. Ok, "what the hell are you talking about?" was my reponse. The Hamptons, it turns out, is athe nickname Emily has given to the gated development Dave lives in. His parents own the house...an awesome ocean-side place that looks nothing like other houses in Southern California...but they dont even live in Southern California. So Dave lives there by himself, and gladly welcomes any visitors that will make the drive up to hang out. So we went up to check it out. Damn Dave, your house kicks ass.
