Day 6, on to the Petrified Forest from the Painted Desert

The Petrified Forest National Park is really two parks in one, the Painted Desert at the North end and the Rainbow (Painted) Forest at the South end. The park covers over 93,533 acres and consists of six separate "forests" that took over 200 million years to form. Ok, theres your history lesson for the day. After driving through the Painted Desert, I got to the Petrified Forest. Here are those pics. Really cool, and well worth the money to enter the park.
